PCSX2 has been going strong since late '05 when the ps2 was entering latter stages of its life.
Since then i have always wanted to test the pcsx2, i regularly read the change logs and updates for it, however it required a computer with greater specs then i could afford so i was pretty much stuck with a P4.

As i own PS2 and played on it frequently until the ps3 came out using the emulator it did not concern me greatly.

Now it does, for two reasons.
1. My PS2 is no longer in my room and is hidden in my house somewhere.
2. The 60gb PS3 has trouble playing some PS2 games.

There are a few reasons for my recent urge to play PS2 games these are because i can and i will. Another being becuase i want to re-cap the glorious moments of older games before they are released in "HD collections" and the third; can my newly built quad-core computer handle the emualtor?

- Which the answer is yes, it does.

Some games work amazingly well without no adjustment, some do with minor adjustment, some do not work and last but not least some games lag.

This is of course how it is with emulation.

It's a matter of "take it or leave it."

Windows 7 - Remove WAT

New Windows 7 antipiracy update to phone home regularly
The update will detect "more than 70 known and potentially dangerous activation exploits" that attempt to bypass or compromise WAT and will determine whether the copy of Windows 7 that is installed on a PC is genuine. It is also supposed to improve the integrity of key licensing components on the OS and will run periodic validations every 90 days.

The WAT update will run a check and repair weekly, however, if it discovers tampering, disabling, or missing licensing files.
Just last week, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit over the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) component in Windows XP after more than three years. Still, Microsoft chose to make this WAT update optional, so clearly the company has changed its ways at least a little bit.

Regards to gaming - It was created for playing against peers over LAN when the Internet was a thing not many of us were privileged to have.

I remember playing RTS games with my brothers in the mid 90's like Z and Starcraft against each other on different computers.

Now with routers and wireless technology and the Internet being a household item in equal importance to the television you can play online games. Most games do have online capabilities and LAN is no longer being implemented into games. Applications are being made to bring back this feature such as Hamachi, Garena and Tunngle.

Most of the apps are a pain in the ass to set up, especially port forwarding, port triggering or DMZ on the router to allow you to play the games online.

Nowadays these VPN allow those who download illegal copies of games to play them online. However it also has a legitimate purpose for those who are strapped for cash and can not afford paying monthly fees that many companies are implementing to play online.

I personally recommend Tunngle - as it's the easiest to set up and is being updated and supports the latest games.

Say you're selling something on one of those selling sites e.g Gumtree. If you don't get stabbed like a poor fellow did recently . You'll get conned by some sneeky buggers.

They'll say they have someone in west africa and they are out of the country so they want you to post the item. I DON'T THINK SO.

First off,I respect those who are involved in the scene and who are helping it to grow.It needs and deserves all the supporters out there.

As an old user of the site, but new member, i would like to say it is a very good and reliable site for all the scene releases sometimes dealing with P2P releases but hey a release is a release. However slow it maybe.

RLSLOG which has been running on/off for 2 years and is having its admin problems. Which i have seen on many forums/blogs/websites from time to time on the net.

Only the truth shall prevail. Hope i don't get Nuked for that line LOL.

Now that the 2.42 version of the PS3 is out(for a couple of days now) and is working...(Woot..and so far i have no problems with it.)

Update 2: Sony has come out with official word on firmware 2.42. It reads:

Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that a PS3 firmware update (v2.42) is now available for download. This update improves the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 and PlayStation format software.

Users including myself have reported the following changes for PS3 firmware 2.42:

Life with Playstation seems to have been released. You can access it by going into folding @ home you can interact with. Zeroing in on a specific area will yield news from that locale.
A Bluetooth mic fix has been added.

Official news from Sony that 2.40 is pretty much useless. Hopefully they can
sort it out so we can see some trophies and in game XMB.

A long time has passed since i've last posted and a lot has happened in this month.

Besides the usual educational regime college presses on you.

I've managed to complete two anime's they are;
FMA(Full Metal Alchemist) and Death Note..

Now out of the two i prefer Death Note but you can't really compare the two..i know that is contradicting myself but that's how the world spins on its axis.

Anyhow..both are brilliant and they are my choice for completed anime series..

Anyhow, the ISO's site have returned to us..our beloved..sniff sniff..even though i may hardly use them its still the only site(s) i truly like.

It's the beginning of 2008.
With all of my resolutions set, i hope to achieve them.
I hope you've all set goals or dreams for this year the only way to further on a honourable life is for a dream to be set. So you have a goal to achieve.

Okay, thats enough of my ranting.

Recently and i mean very recently i've been hooked on Naruto, If you don't know what Naruto is.. Wiki It..
It took me this week to go through most/all the naruto episodes and now im in Shippuuden episode 36. Shippuuden is set two and half years after the orignal Naruto series with Naruto and Jiraiya returning back to the village hidden in the leaf.

Maybe i wasn't into Naruto when it was first released because i was first set on Dragonball saga.
However times have changed and Anime changes as DB is now over and Pokemon is slow to release i thought i'll watch Naruto.

If you're wondering how i watch Naruto.
I watched the original saga, most in dubbed english on http://www.Veoh.com and by the uploader Card666. He's updating and uploading still i think his on episode 131 or something.
The rest you'll have to find subtitles ones which sometimes is tricky with all these frenchy and spaniards subs aswell. I stopped watching the rest as it was just about Naruto, Sakura and Jiraiya training. Sakura then goes back trains with Tsunada and Naruto and Jiraiya go back to training.
Now i watch Shippuuden on Stage6 awsome quality even if its dubbed. You can learn some jap at the same time.

well this is a litle tutorial on how to do so

first you need

the DIVX web player installed

Then go to the page where the movie is going to be played
DO NOT CLICK PLAY YET

left click on the icon (located far right of DIVX web player)

left click on Preference

go to downloads tab

and make sure you have "Auto save all downloads selected"
Press OK.

From now on..all the movies you watch with Divx web Player will be saved in
My Documents\My Videos\DivX Movies

in order for the file to be fully saved the playing line needs to full covered by the DIVX blue colour

where it says DIVX movies..click on it..choose the location where you want the vidoes to be saved and will be placed into a folder...according to place found online...

3.71m33 installation

(ms0 = the drive of your PSP i.e F:)

Installation instructions:

Requeriments: a fat psp slim with 3.52 M33-3 or 3.52 M33-4. Previous versions of M33 won't work,due to a bug that affects them and OE; or a psp slim with 3.60 M33.

- Copy the UPDATE folder into "ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE" via USB
- If you are in the fat psp, make sure you have configured the psp to run the game folder in the 3.XX kernel.
To do this enter Recovery mode of your psp by
turning off your PSP.
Then turn on your PSP again while holding your R button down.
click on Configurations ->then check your Game folder hombrew (currently X.XX kernal) X.XX being your kernel and if it isnt 3.XX press "X" or "o" and it'll change the kernel Exit the Recovery mode
- Execute the program,(on the XMB menu go to GAME>>Memory Stick) it requires 78% of battery.
So check your battery status and make sure your power(cable) adapter is plugged inIf you have idstorage corrupted due to a downgrader,
the program will ask you to correct it automatically so the update can continue.
- Press X, and the Sony updater will begin.Sit and enjoy while Sony code installs 3.71 M33 :)Do not turn off your PSP or it'll brick
- When finished, the updater will ask you to reboot (pressing X or O). DO IT. Do not skip this step by shutting down the psp by yourself, or you'll end with a brick.
- You should be now in 3.71 M33You can now delete the Update folder "ms0:/PSP/GAME"
Now upgrading to 3.71 m33-2
open folder 3.71m33update2
Copy the UPDATE folder to "ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE" via USB-
If you have 1.50 addon, make sure you have the kernel of game folder configured to 3.71, or the program will not even start.
To do this enter Recovery mode of your psp by
shutting down your psp
Then,Turn on your PSP whilst pressing the R button.
click on Configurations -> then check your Game folder hombrew (currently 3.71 kernal) 3.71 being the kernel version you need and if it isnt 3.71 press "X" or "o" and it'll change the kernel.
Exit the recovery mode
Execute the program, (on the XMB menu go to GAME> Memory Stick)Press X to run the program..
follow the instruction on your psp
Wait for 6 seconds and Now you have a 3.71 m33-2 PSP

PSP 1.50/CFW to 3.52m33-4

This guide is for the purpose of only helping in enabling users to use homebew application..Nothing Else :P
you'll need a custom firmware PSP..XX.xx ..(where XX.xx is your CFW i.e 3.30 OE) or a 1.50 firmware PSP
Check your existing PSP Firmware.
On your XMB (Cross Media Bar) in your psp, go to:
Settings >> System Settings >> System Information.
Press circle or x (depending on what PSP version you have) to view your existing firmware.
If you have a 1.5 or any custom OE/SE firmware, you are in luck.
You can proceed to the next step 2.
Otherwise, you must downgrade your PSP first. I suggest you use Pandora’s battery for the downgrade.
Obtain a USB Cable..
If you don’t know what a USB cable is, I assure you won’t be successful with the installation.
Download the 3.52 M33-4 Installer Package
The archive is packed with all the files needed into a RAR file.
That way you won’t have any trouble locating the files around the internet.
After downloading the file, unpack it using WinRAR.
I’ve separated each step into separate folders so everything will be organized.
Download the 3.52 M33-4 installer pack.
Check Your Battery on your PSP (you should know how to do this)
You must have more than 75% battery to avoid bricking.
It'll be a good idea to also plugin the power (cable) adaptor ( make sure it's switched on).
If you have correctly followed the few simple steps above, then we are ready to go on to the installation process.
Warning: I have succesedfully installed 3.52 M33 on 2 PSPs already but there is a slight chance of bricking your PSP,only if you won’t follow the instructions step by step.
Don’t worry if you brick your PSP, you can always use Pandora’s battery.
3.52 M33-4 Installation Procedures
(ms0:/ = the drive letter of your PSP e.g F:\)
If you are already running on an OE or SE custom firmware, SKIP this step and proceed to STEP 2.
Connect your PSP to your computer.
Step 1
Open the STEP 1 folder and copy kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders to ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
Disconnect your PSP from your computer and then on the XMB go to GAME > Memory Stick > KXploit Permanent Patcher.
Run it.
Once done, delete the kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folder from your ms0:/PSP/GAME/ folder.(by connecting it to your PSP to the PC/MAC and deleting the folders)
Proceed to the next step.
Step 2
Connect your PSP to your PC/MAC via USB.
Open STEP 2 folder then copy the M33CREATOR folder to your “ms0:/PSP/GAME” (for 1.50 Firmwares) or “ms0:/PSP/GAME150? (for SE/OE Firmwares).
Disconnect your PSP from your computer then on the XMB menu go to:GAMES > Memory Stick and execute 3.52 M33 CREATOR.
For noobs(those who are new to this), the screen will normally go black so don’t panic.
Once the process is finished it will automatically go back to the XMB.
On your XMB, go again to GAMES > Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute 3.52 M33UPDATE.
You’ll have to press X at your own risk to agree to the installation.
Don’t you turn off your PSP until the process is complete or you’ll end up bricking it.
When finished, you’ll have to press X again and reboot your PSP manually.
Reboot by turning of your PSP and then turning it on again.
You’ll then have a 3.52 M33 PSP.You can now delete the M33CREATOR folder form your “ms0:/PSP/GAME” folder on your PSP(by connecting it to your PSP to the PC/MAC and deleting the folders).
Step 3
Open STEP 3 folder and then copy M33Update4 folder to mso:/PSP/GAME150.
On your XMB menu go to GAMES > Memory Stick then execute the update.
After the update you will be back on the XMB and you now have 3.52 M33-4 PSP.
Delete the M33Update4 folder from mso:/PSP/GAME150.
From the STEP 3 folder, copy the seplugins folder to the root of your memory stick"“ms0:\".
Turn off your PSP then turn it on again while pressing the R button.
This will take you to the recovery menu.
Go to Plugins and enable popsloader by pressing x.After enabling it, go to back and then exit.
Enjoy your PSP 3.52 M33-4!
